What can you do with coconut beads?

This one is really different. I don’t know what I was thinking when I created it but it is turning out to be one of my favorite pieces. When I saw the large coconut beads with their wonderful dark coffee color and textured beige stripes, I had to have them. At the time I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but I knew at some point they would be used in something special, and this is the result.Other materials included in this necklace are jasper rondelles, bone, shell, African trade bead, vintage glass, copper, leather, silver and quartz.Odd copper toggle clasp. Measures 16 3/4 inches.
