Creative Everyday

It is a new year, therefore it is time to do something different. I decided to join the online group of participants that congregate on the blog "Creative Everyday". All of the members vow to do something, anything, that is creative...everyday! To learn more about how it works go to: Creative Everyday 2008. I think this is going to be great fun and I look forward to checking out everybody's blog and gleaning support for my creative efforts along the way.
So far 2008 looks like a very promising year. I have also started a form of yoga called Svaroopa . I tell you it is changing my life. I have attended 10 classes so far and I plan on doing it for the rest of my life. This form of yoga is extremely gentle (especially good for people who have pysical ailments and limitations, of which I have both) anyone, and I am anyone can do it. All of the poses are supported (if needed) with blankets/blocks /head supports etc. Svaroopa is a Therapeutic style of Hatha yoga that uses familiar yoga poses to create a deep opening in the muscles around the spine. You feel absolutley wonderful during and after class. I will talk more about my experiences with this in later posts.
I am excited to show off some of the new pieces I have been working on in my studio. Take a look see.

Thanks for the nice comment on my repurposed cashmere sewater. I love your bracelets here! --I make bead crochet bracelets, and so some bead embroidery, also. Nice to meet you (!) and read your blog...

Youe jewelery is absolutely gorgeous!
Yoga sounds so enticing. My mother loves it but I tried it and just couldn't seem to get into it. Maybe I need an actual class and not just a dvd.

Thanks for sharing you daughter's story. I too keep quiet most of the time. Your jewelry really is lovely. Hope your shop does well this year.

I don't know if I mentioned this, but I was born in Savannah.

Svaroopa sounds like it might be just what I need too as I've been suffering from Repetative Strain Injury for over a year and the only thing that actually helps is stretching exercises. I like the sound of the support especially when feeling a bit delicate. So glad you mentioned it!
